Two quality colts for JHB at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale
In challenging conditions caused by some very heavy, albeit much welcomed rain, the team at Inglis and their vendors put on a great show at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
James Harron Bloodstock was in action securing a pair of colts by 2YO Group 1 winners Capitalist and Extreme Choice.
Lot 11 was our first purchase, by the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes and Group 1 Moir Stakes winner Extreme Choice, secured for $160,000 from Newgate Farm. He is the first foal of the high-class American Grade 3 winner Ben’s Duchess and from the productive family of Grade 1 winner Vergennes.
A real highlight of the sales season so far has been to see the first crop of our own Group 1 Golden Slipper winner Capitalist, and more than that, to have been so impressed as we have been with their strength, quality and attitude. So far we have added three to our team, including lot 369 at Inglis Classic, the first foal out of the speedy dual stakes-performed juvenile Pearl Congenial. This colt was secured from Newgate Farm for $340,000 and is from the further family of quality stakes winners Toast of the Coast, Wild Planet, Solo Show and most importantly, of recent Group 1 Caulfield Guineas winner Super Seth.
