Sunshine in Paris wows on return at Rosehill, gain slot in $20m Everest

After taking out one of the form races of the Autumn in the Group 1 Surround Stakes, Sunshine in Paris returned this weekend, having been subsequently secured on behalf of John and Deb Camilleri’s Fairway Thoroughbreds at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale. She lined up in a strong edition of the Group 2 Sheraco Stakes, and delivered a devastating performance for trainer Annabel Neasham and jockey Ryan Maloney.

Settled in behind a hot speed, Sunshine in Paris was travelling powerfully into the straight and once pulled into clear running, showed a sparkling turn of foot to put the race to bed in an exceptional class record time of 1:08.80 for the 1200m, not far of the Rosehill track record.

Congratulations to John and Deb, who have a top-class weight-for-age prospect on their hands with Sunshine in Paris, who will now head to the $20m The Everest in October, after her owners came to an agreement with Aquis Farm to run in their slot.
